We’ve changed our Grain Free PURE Sea formula to include just 8 ingredients, along with natural flavours, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. Our new Grain Free PURE Sea recipe is made with fresh salmon, plus high quality salmon meal and menhaden fish meal. We also use whole foods including sweet potatoes and peas for naturally great nutrition. Grain Free PURE Sea contains 41 grams of protein in every cup. That’s equal to a 7 ounce salmon steak with a side of sweet potatoes and peas!

For pets who may have developed food sensitivities, a smaller ingredient list means lowering their chance of allergic reactions. With only 8 key ingredients including fresh salmon and whole foods, this simple recipe does not contain fillers, grains, dairy, or eggs.

New & Improved Recipe

Fresh Fish First: Fresh salmon is now the #1 ingredient. We also replaced ocean fish meal with menhaden fish meal.

Whole Foods: We replaced ingredients like potato protein and tomato pomace with whole foods including sweet potatoes.

Simple Recipes: Only 8 easy-to-understand ingredients ? plus vitamins, minerals, natural flavour, and mix of probiotics.

Optimal Protein Levels: Crude protein is now guaranteed at a minimum of 32%, crude fat at minimum 18%, and fibre is now minimum 4%. Each cup contains 41 grams of protein; as much protein as a 7 oz salmon steak.

What are the Results?

Improved Taste: Smooth transition from the old formula to this new recipe; and overall improvement in stool quality.

We conducted extensive stool studies to ensure optimal transition to the new recipes as well as overall stool quality. Our studies have concluded that transition to the new recipes will be smooth and lead to an overall improvement in stool quality.

When changing to CANIDAE® PURE Sea™, some dogs may do better by making a gradual transition over 7-10 days. Start with 25% of the new food mixed with 75% of the previous diet and gradually increase the new while decreasing the previous until the transition is complete.

Grain free diets may not be suitable for all dogs. If you have any dietary concerns, please consult with your veterinarian.

The above Daily Feeding Guidelines are a good starting point on the amount of food suggested to be fed on a daily basis. If you feed more than once per day, simply divide the Daily Feeding Guidelines by the amount of times fed per day.
